Crowdfooding is pleased to announce its partnership with Airbnb. The partnership will enable Crowdfooding to leverage their network of London-based food and drink entrepreneurs, and encourage them to create their own, bespoke experiences for the Airbnb via their Trips platform. This new feature brings together where you stay, what you do and the people you meet, all in one place. Launched in late 2016, the Experiences element of Trips offers a chance for people to enjoy a different side of the cities they visit, and for locals to share their passions and interests with domestic and international visitors alike.
Crowdfooding is the world’s first collaborative platform for the food and drink industry. Its mission is to bring together food entrepreneurs, passionate foodies, and established food organisations to create meaningful relationships and foster food innovation. A crucial part of their business is making startups understand that retailers are not the panacea for success and that alternative routes to market are equally important in growing a business. By partnering with Airbnb Crowdfooding hopes to provide budding entrepreneurs with the possibility of reaching customers in a new way.
Crowdfooding will play a key role in sourcing, developing, and curating the unique experiences to be featured on Airbnb. Together the two companies will bring guests on Airbnb closer to some of the most innovative food and drink experiences available in London.
Alessio D’Antino of Crowdfooding said “I believe food can be a very powerful medium for creating meaningful relationships between travellers and local people and we are really excited to partner with Airbnb to allow these connections to happen. London has an amazingly vibrant food and drinks startup scene and I’m thrilled about this partnership as it will enable more food entrepreneurs to introduce Airbnb guests to their latest food and drink innovation while giving them an authentic taste of London.”
